What do you do to feel good?

To lift your mood, feel more positive and live with more ease and flow especially when you don’t recognise your body, yourself and have more days feeling urgh than spritely?

Usually, by now, we’ll be thinking Xmas parties, getting together with friends, outfits and pampering, but that is a bit different this year.

Does that mean you shouldn’t get your nails done, have a hair cut and treat yourself to a sparkly top?

Absolutely not!

We do these things, not for anyone else but ourselves, to feel good, to feel proud of who you are and as a gift to yourself for all of what you do for others in work and at home.

See, the better you feel, the more of the good stuff you attract and the better you are for those you care about!

Last week, I did exactly that, I pampered myself like a Queen, no one is appreciating this more than me. It feels great and I’m so happy I did this for myself, every time I look at my freshly painted nails and pedicured feet, it makes me smile. (trust me no one will see my toes)

Today I want to share five simple things you can do to lift your mood and feel better because isn’t that what we all want, all the time? To feel good?

I’m not talking superficial quick fixes like too much alcohol, overspending, eating too many mince pies or binge-watching TV to make a ‘bad feeling’ go away.

I’m talking that floaty, free, happy for no reason feeling!

  1. Pamper yourself properly

Yes, we’re mostly at home over this festive period, but that is no reason to neglect your nails, hair, toes, teeth. Book that appointment or spend an evening in with a friend in your covid bubble and set up a mini spa at home with some proper bubbles, fab music and a take out!

  1. Get the house spring cleaned

Either hire professional cleaners to come and do a ‘spring clean’, we’ve all spent so much time in our own spaces, there’s a lot more human traffic than usual. If that’s not possible, choose to spruce up one room that’s been a bit neglected, declutter the old and unwanted and a lick of paint goes a very long way!

  1. Buy yourself a gift, wrap it beautifully and feel proud of spoiling yourself.

This doesn’t have to be extravagant, maybe you want to play and test drive the car of your dreams or maybe you always buy luxurious gifts for your friends, but never yourself.

  1. Start planning your post-covid holiday

So may plans disrupted this year, especially much needed holiday time. Start dreaming of your next break away. Create a pinterest board which sparks joy every time you look at it. It’s ok to dream, but also to take action. Start saving, researching and call to find out about availability as soon as you can.

  1. Get 360 help and support
